Odd Thomas

Hope there isnt already a thread like this one.

I cant stress this enough. "Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz is .

Even if you are not a Koontz fan, give it a try. I loved it. It'll change how you feel about people. At least it did for me. It starts off a tiny bit slow, but once you get going and know the characters well, its hard to put down.

I LOVE Odd Thomas. I've read all of them. I like a lot of Koontz, but the Odd Thomas boks are different. I often find Koontz "dark" and these books are not.

I've read EVERY book by Dean Koontz. Started with "Lightening" in the 1980's - and haven't stopped. I really liked his Christopher Snow character - but he only wrote two books on him. The Odd Thomas series was excellent, I read them all. He is by far my favorite writer.

You know there is an Odd Thomas website. I went on it a long time ago and the buzz was that they were considering an Odd Thomas movie. Then the writters strike happened. IDK if it will happen or not. That'd be great though.

Speaking of movies, anyone else think a forum on movies like this book one would work well here. I'm a huge movie buff, would love to hear what people think of new releases. Might have a good idea of what to go see in the theaters and what to wait for the DVD on.
LOL. I am on assignment in WA and my wife had read the "Twilight" series. Then they came out with the movie. She made me drive her all the way to Forks, WA. Thats the place those books are based on.

I love the Odd Thomas series. I am a Koontz fan, read all of his stuff. Some is not so great, and then there are the awesome ones that make up for the not so great. One of his books that I adored was One Door Away from Heaven. I am a dog persons and love his dogs in the books. I liked the Christopher Snow series as well. (Fear Nothing and Seize the Night)

My favorites are the first two of his books that I ever read. Lighting and Watchers. Those were the two books that hooked me into Dean Koontz. I've love nearly all of his books. The only one I had a hard time getting in to was
Mr. Murder - for whatever reason, I couldn't get in to that book.

Love Odd Thomas. One of my favorite fictional characters, although not crazy about the latest one, "Odd Hours". The first Koontz book I ever read was, " The Funhouse". The book was good, but if you saw the cheesy 80's movie, not so good.... I think my favorite book by him is "Life Expectancy",really good plot twists.
