Castle

by Tait Staff

Castle is a quirky show recently wrapping up its first season in production.

From the Joss Whedon, writer of the cult series Firefly and Dollhouse comes the story of a renown murder writer, with a quick witted daughter and theatrical mother meets CSI like detective power female.

This series has amazing writers that kept me waiting all week for a chance to see Castle and Detective Beckett solve another crime. Give it a shot!

I really like Joss Whedon. I've followed him on the TV shows, Buffy and Angel. Watch Dollhouse, too.

What night does this come on, Tait? When did it start? I can't believe I've missed this........

It was on Monday nights I think? (TiVO household here so I am not always sure). One season already locked and on the books. Maybe check out Hulu.com and see if you can watch it there. It definitely is a treat!

PS. We didn't really get into Dollhouse unfortunately...too repetitive? Girl wakes up, girl does job, girl gets in trouble, girl get saved, girl goes to bed. Maybe we didn't give it a good chance.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

Oh, then you didn't give it a chance, Tait. Yeah, it can be repetitive sometimes.

But, there was a lot of explanation of Echo before the Dollhouse with some explanations of other characters, too.

The show that I absolutely loved was Tru Calling. I watch all of it in reruns now. They just canceled that after a couple seasons and I never understood why. It was getting really really good and could have been a keeper.

As you probably can tell, I love anything horror/sci-fi. Watching the remake of The Thing now.

I really enjoy this one as well! Love love love him and like her but not quite sold on their chemistry. By the end of the season I was warming up to Beckett but I would prefer to see their relationship fade the romantic tension and become more bff. I love Law & Order SVU and the relationship between Benson and Stabler is great--would love to see something like that for Castle & Beckett. Romance is just too easy and expected, a great platonic friendship is more difficult to make interesting but when done right it makes for a better show long term I think.

Aside from that, I'm looking forward to the next season and hope the show grows. It's definitely entertaining!
