Here is my New Year regulation.
  • To lose weigh to 45kg
  • To eat adequate and nutritious food
  • To be glad that I am still alive
  • To make a miracle from studying biochemistry
  • To win the first Honor of Miss Malaysia

Looking back, I found myself indeed hilarious and crazy for all the experiments of losing weigh that I’ve done, but today I am glad that I am very successful. Who knows the girl who is happy go lucky will do this kind of experiment to herself.

Living in a fashionable city and surviving in a glamorous school, all the pretty girls around me are prone to slim down themselves as to gain more priority in the society. I wonder when was I become one of them. Why not Malaysian exist one healthy society such as rising one Malaysian fat Model? With a weigh status of 55 kg at the age of mine, it does consider over weigh and fat among their sharp eagle -eyes. With that, I had determined to get into the slim-fit society.

Remembering Loh Mei Kai’s idea of slim fit is just eating “Meat” and anti-rice. She told me that without eating rice, she has slim down from 60kg to 48kg. My feeling at that time was “wow!!! How come?” so I started to eat fried chicken everyday and KFC. This was indeed left an indelible mark on me because my weigh had been raised from 48 to 55kg. I blamed her for misleading me, and I ended up loosing a friend. Which, I don’t know why!

Two years ago, I’ve seek advices from my other friend, Har Gau. He was one of my classmates. Har Gau was our most fashionable metro-sexual guy in the class. He tends to keep a good body shape as he was a part-time model. Har Gau’s slim-fit tools are eating “Nutritious pills and tablets” and vegetable and salads. Without a second thought, I started to halt eating rice and meat but “nutritious pills”. Hilarious was, after 3days, I fainted during assembly and ended up hospitalized. I was slimmed down to “Char Siew Bao” at that time but due to hypoglycemia, I was instructed to eat more “Bao”.

Last year, I met a friend with Nervosa Bulimia. Siew Long Bao was a patient from my previous hospital. She claimed that she had lost 6kg from Nervosa Bulimia. She said that she can eat how much that she likes and even any kinds of foods. With just a simple action, she can maintain and lose weigh easily. She also said that she can even manage to vomit what kind of food which does not give nutritious to her. With that, I was persuaded by her’s idea. However, one month later, I was hospitalized as having Gastric.

With above all experiments, I’ve never give-up to fulfill my slim fit mission. This year I have signed in the application form to be the Beauty of Miss Malaysia of 2008. However, I will not fail to gain a slim fit body, because I had studied my biochemistry and done my own planning. Who knows one day I might have made a miracle of natural slim-fit tool.

This is what I have planned. Recently, I just know that each day I am ingesting about 60 to 150g of lipid per day and 90% is normally triacylglycerol. Besides, I still am eating pea-nut butter breads everyday. With that, if without a good regulation and maintenance, I must indeed become a big fat lady. Here is the regulation which I’ve read.

Lipid is existing as Triacylglycerols (KFC’s chicken Skin) in my body. Triacylglycerols will then bind to my bile salts my gall bladder to form micelles in the intestine. The triacylglcerols will then digest to become fatty acids and monoacylglycerol. Then, they are all transported into enterocytes and resynthesized to form triacylglycerol. Triacylglycerol molecules combine with newly synthesized phospholipids and protein, and then incorporated into chylomicrons. After chylomicrons are transported into lymph, they are taken up by my peripheral tissues. Triaclyglycerol is delivered to my adipose tissue in the form of chylomicrons and very low density lipoproteins. The triacylglycerol is Hydrolysed and enters adipose cell as free fatty acids and Monoacylglycerol. Fatty acids and Monoacylglycerol are re-esterified to form triacylglycerols. Triacylglycerols in the cytoplasm of adipose form large globules ( fat’s baby).

With that, i finally realized that why Loh Mei Kai said she slim down just eating meat but I grow fatter eating meat (fried chicken has lipid as oil). I feel guilty for loosing this dear friend of mine. I am so sorry!

Coming back to the fat, I found that I can maintain not having much fat by eating less rice (glucose) and always do aerobic exercise such as jogging for an hour. Mum must have been feeling proud of me. It is said that, when my energy reserves are low, my body’s fat stores are mobilized through lipolysis.

Lipolysis ( burn fat) occurs during fasting, vigorous exercise, and in response to stress.

Both products of lipolysis which is fatty acid and glycerol are released into the blood. Glycerol is transported to the liver where it can be used in lipid or glucose synthesis. After that , their transport across the adipocyte plasma membrane, fatty acids are bound to serum albumin and carried to cells. Most fatty acids are degraded to form acetyl-coA within mitochondria in a process referred to as Beta-oxidation to produce energy.

With my three weeks experiment of trials toward my slim-fit planning, I had lost 2kg .With that, I can assured that by doing aerobic exercise and eating less carbohydrates, can provide a healthy life style and slim fit body. I bet this time the one who will stands among others and share about her slim-fit idea must be not another but me!
