I spent a whole evening playing Pacman one night. I stopped after I rolled the score over! (On easy level, but still!!) My brother was best on the rest!
We also had Pong before that. AND --- a "mechanical" Pong game (A big box/screen with a little light on metal cross bars. No TV needed! I've never met anyone who has even heard of this, much less had one!)

Awesome 80s memories everyone! I was Class of '84.

Loved Valley Girl, Karate Kid (Ralph Maccio - cute!), Smurfs.

Had a button with a Smurf with kisses on his face that said "I've been Smurfed!"

My boyfriend (now husband) bought a Cabbage Patch doll. We just gave it to our daughter last year. She loves it! (She's 12)

MTV... didn't actually watch much, but the idea was great! MUSIC television. Now... not so much.

Partying "like it's 1999" seemed SO far away. AND You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living on the moon.

You can remember Michael Jackson when he was black. yes

You wore a banana clip at some point during your youth. yes - once

You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good movie. You mean it's not???

You owned cassettes. yes... and I still have them... in a box... in the basement!

You remember and/or owned any of the Care Bear Glass collection from Pizza Hut or the Muppets glasses from McDonalds. yes - among other glass sets!

Poltergeist freaked you out. No -- I saw it with my friend and her brother... who held my hand during the scary parts! ("This house is clean" -- btw, I pictured her as Delores Umbridge in Harry Potter!)

You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins, ET, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Strawberry Shortcake, My little Pony or A-Team lunch box. Barbie in the 70s. But, I had David Hasselhoffs picture taped in my locker!

You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf. and the only one with any sense.
