Graduate, class of 1982 right here! I was 16 when I graduated, so was a teen/young adult throughout the 80s! ... I remember the girl groups (Lauper and Madonna my faves) .. Atari .. I had a Commodore 64 -- complete with the cassette drive (a hard drive was WAY too expensive). MTV and VH-1 had videos, and nothing but videos. Styx was the best .. ah .. who'd have thought that I would look back with such nostalgia ???

I used to wear parachute pants, crop top and a bandana or two tied around my leg or around my neck like the old west cowboys did. Even had the black "Michael Jackson type" jacket with the sleeves pushed up. Hair above the ears and longer in back, all the girls wore it then and you had to have the top up high and hairspray hairspray hairspray, heck I didn't have to comb my hair all day it looked exactly the same at the end of the day as it did in the beginning!

I keep wondering what the heck is in that McD's sack they give to my kids that wouldn't fit in the box I got! Rabbit fur coat and parachut pants with all the big hair you could handle, oh yea, that was a trippin dikular time of life to be a teen. Simon Le Bon and Duran Duran who wasn't there??

I have three 80's kids (and one 90's). How about "Get In Shape Girl" stuff? Ninja Turtles? "Rainbow Bright", "Jem", "Hello Kitty" "Tiny Tumblers", and what was the name of those cats and dogs who came with babies stuffed in their bellies? Remember velcro straps on your shoes? How about the birth of Nike, Reebock, the Gap, MTV, the very first rap- as in MC Hammer. Ever have designs razored in your hair a la Vanilla Ice? Now don't lie, how many of you had a mullet? My 3 oldest where born in '81,'84,'85 so I really lived the '80s. My least favorite memory? That doll that talked, cried, wined and so on if she senced light or movement- I don't remember the name but I do remember my oldest sleeping with it and the supid doll would SHOUT "Mommy, I'm hungry, feed me Mommy" every time she rolled over at night. I can still hear that doll's voice.

RATT and POISON.
Remember those Malt Ducks?
I looked like a southern belle in my pink satin hoop skirted prom dress.
ALWAYS wore tshirts and blue jeans. Hey, I still do!
Beat it, beat it.
Thriller.
I can go on and on....someone stop me.
"Where's the Beef?"
Short front and top and long back hair styles and ALL that hairspray. Sometimes colored, sometimes glittered. Bright eyeshadows.
Ok ok I'm done.
