Good Morning!!

I didn't mean to take over starting the GM thread. Guess being on the east coast and day shift, I'm one of the first ones awake at this unGodly hour! But it's Friday for me! w00t!

I took the family to a sports bar and we had a nice meal together. The kids are so quiet and good.

Good Morning on a HAPPY Friday Yee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Not a lot on my agenda today other than phoning up my new patients and seeing if they are ok for the weekend. I will be meeting them all next week but just wanted to touch base with them all.

Hubs has been a little overwhelmed with all of these patients he has had landed on them but as he said 'I WILL do this and do it well' I am helping where I can.

Hubs is on call tonight and I am on call tomorrow yippee I pray for a quiet time as I am surely exhausted, kinda been a long weird week at work. I was upset that I could not go to my last patient's funeral as he meant the world to me but will catch up with his wife today.

Well I must get my tail into the shower, jeans day so that makes it easy knowing what to wear LOL

Have a great day one and all.

Hope things get better at work Sabby.

Hi Tweety and jnette!

Yesterday was busy...took the car in to get an alarm put in, got all the paperwork for the title correction on my old car done, did laundry, did some shopping, and was pretty much gone the whole day.

Today is my last day shift! I'm bringing doughnuts and coffee to celebrate. On Monday I'll switch to nights. Things get so busy/crazy on days I'm afraid I'm going to make a mistake, so I'm glad I'm going onto nights where it's definitely calmer.

I'm off this weekend, and for the first time in a while don't have to research cars, or study for the NCLEX, etc....

Good morning All.

Tweety - Did you have any trouble finding something on the menu that was vegan?

jnette - if you had just 2 pair of shoes like me the decision would be much easier. Or maybe you could take 1/2 your shoes down to the basement?

Joe - Glad you get to make your move to nights. That was nice of you to take in coffee and doughnuts.

My back is much improved. I didn't take any meds yesterday. It's still a little difficult to get my shoes and socks on. Oh, and to get my right leg lifted up enough to put on my pants. But now at least I can get in and out of my pickup without pain. (My company pickup is "lifted" so I have to lift my leg up pretty high to get in. Hmmm....... I wonder how high it is? I'll measure it today and find out....)

My back has gotten better just in time. On Sat. afternoon I need to help the youngest boy finish cutting that load of wood for his future in-laws. I'm going to be very careful this time.......

They had Boca burgers which were vegan, so I had that and french fries, and a salad. It was good. There was a good looking un-vegan dessert going around, but I was strong. That's the good thing about being vegan is that it controls my impulse eating.

It's so slow here at work today it's almost spooky. My coworker is having an IBS attack and is miserable. I keep telling her to go home, but she's rather sit around in pain with her head on her desk and get paid. I might have to pull rank here in a bit and insist she go, but I feel bad for her.

eta: My coworker just left. Now I'm by myself. All do do will hit the fan now. LOL

Morning

Sitting here waiting for the on-call hospice nurse to call me with report so I can be the on-call hospice nurse.

Sabby - I really need advice about how your team communicates information about patients. Something is happening with our team and I'm worried about it.

jnette - sorry it is "soggy" . . . it will probably hit 70 today and I don't even have to start a fire this morning.

Joe -

Kolohe - glad you are better . . .we've got a lot of stuff planned this weekend and I am not sure how we are going to get firewood. Our daughter needs help moving. Danny wants to go duck hunting because last weekend he had a bad owie and couldn't go. Hey, there was a group of loggers in logger's shirts and suspenders in the booth next to Danny and I last night at the Mexican Restaurant in the "big city". One actually looked like you - only younger.

Tweety - were the french fries cooked in veggie oil?

Di - get that computer fixed so you can write more about your fascinating and busy life!!!

To all who follow -

steph

Who knows. I try not to sweat the small stuff like that...what I don't know keeps me vegan in my eye. LOL

Although there was vegan outrage against one of the fast food chains because their french fries weren't vegan. Silly french fries should be vegan.
