JumpDrive USB portable USB storage Very Cool!

I just got one! It is about the size of a pack of gum and holds more info than 44 floppy discs!
It connects right in your USB port but I think you need an OS of Win98 at least for it to work!
The nice thing is that it is portable!
Anyone else here of them?

Some of those little do-dads hold up to 256 MB of information! Very cool!

Technology! Got to love it!

Because of USB 2 and Firewire (IEEE 1394) connections, one can also have all sorts of external stuff like hard drives, better-grade sound cards, DVD+/-RW's, CD-RW's, scanners, MiniDV players. . . .all connected and runny smoothly. . . and running FAST on your computer!

Oh yes. . . I've got two of those little do-dads. These particular little do-dads are known as "key dongles" for a couple of audio recording software (that are quite expensive, I might add! ) that I own. In order to use these wonderful (and did I mention expensive) programs, the user has to have these "key dongles" in the USB port. . . otherwise the program doesn't work. It's the company's way of protecting its intellectual property. Can't say as I blame them with all of the "cracked" versions of these earlier programs floating around.

Yep.... I had to specify that I wanted one installed on my new one... it was listed as an option. Of course I got the USB "memory key" (jumpdrive) as well. But I figured I might still use the floppies for some things, too, so I had it put in there. Put the good stuff on the jumpdrive, and the boring, rarely used stuff on the floppy.
Heh.
