the goats? well... um... goats are just great, and i have a friend who says eveything's like a goat (i'm hungry as a goat/tired as a goat/look like a goat...) so i've learned to appreciate the subtleties of the goat.

that, and 'ieatvegimiteforbreakfastlunchandtea' was a smidgen too long.

We had goats here for years and have to agree that they WILL enrich your lives.
Nothing like a cute little baby goat to crack you up.

One time..several years ago..
I was riding a sled down the side of a mountain covered in about 1/4" of snow and a thousand pine trees (this was my first and second stupid move)..
the neighbor's dang goat gets loose and gets excited over the stupid fat kid flying down the side of the mountain..dodging trees. He decides to chase and charge the sled (ie; me). Trying to dodge trees AND a hungry goat...okay, i hit a tree..rolled off the sled...THE GOAT GOT EXCITED! I tried ("tried" the keyword here) to grab the goat by it's horns to prevent it from ramming me..bad idea. He tossed my little fat arse around like a frisbee. Now the pine trees became my friends..the goat on one side..me on the other..round and round and round and round..

i don't like goats.

One summer my grandmother had a baby goat on the farm. My cousin and I immediately took to him. We named him "Billy G" (kind of our little joke to Billy Dee Williams, the actor). We walked him, bathed him, played with him, etc.
One day when we came home from going catfishing, we couldn't find Billy G. We went into the kitchen and asked our grandmother where Billy G was. She said, "Child, he's on the table, we're havin' some good 'ol barbequed goat tonight. Gonna be good, sho nuff!".

Moral: Never get attached to farm animals down south. They are there for food. :stone
