Saturday last day of October

by Sabby_NC Premium Member

Good and Happy Saturday to you all

Here I am sitting waiting for my first call out, got ready and am playing on the computer for a while.
Guess I really need to get some breakfast in my belly eh?

Steph thanks for the PM, hope your on call is quiet for you.
I only do 24 hours and then am off to chill on my Sunday.

Don't forget to lob your clocks back but WAIT A COTTON PICKIN' MINUTE, I get an extra hour on call!! Well son of a suck egg mule that stinks LOL :chuckle

Got a busy week lined up next week seeing these new patients I have taken over!

Ok gotta run and feed da growling lion in my belly.

Have a great day.

Good Morning Peeps !

Another rainy, breezy day. Felt like just staying in bed.

Waiting to hear back from dd to see if we're going to attempt the pumpkin patch today or wait until tomorrow when it's suppose to be MUCH nicer. By the time we finally get to go there won't be a pumpkin left to be found.. not even a seed if the birds get there before we do.

Ah well.

If not, I'll just stay home and clean today, do my checkbook/bills as I usually do.

Sabby, hope your day is quiet for you.

Steph, are you doing all Hospice now?

Well.. let me eat a bowl of cereal and try to wake up a bit more.....

See you all later!

Hi Sabby Tweety jnette!

Well, my day shifts are done! Starting nights on Monday.

Which is good, yesterday was crazy, with doctors constantly changing orders and medications missing and all kinds of chaos. I'm glad to get away from that, it's too easy to make a mistake when all that is happening around you.

Today I've got to get groceries, then go see my dad. This is going to be a weekend to take it easy.

Might head up to Wisconsin sometime next week, after I'm done with work. But we'll see what the weather's like.

Attaboy !!! Take a nice relaxing weekend for yourself, Joe. You've had an overly full plate these past weeks. Glad you got your apt. and car matters taken care of, now the new shift promising relief as well. I'm with you.. would NOT care for all the dayshift chaos. I just don't do well with chaos.

Tweety, have fun with the nieces tonight ! Ladybug.. sweet ! That's would have been MY choice, too. Pati, of course, would have opted for "Princess"...

Well, as I guessed, another delay.. no pumpkins today.. too much rain in the forecast for today.
So tomorrow is our last shot at it. Ah well... keeping fingers crossed.

Have you seen my little bumble butt lately?

Good morning Sabby, Tweety, & jnette........ and Steph (once you drag your butt out of bed).

Out of curiousity I measured my pickup, it's 28" from the ground. I even took a picture. Watch out, now that I've learned how to do it I'm going to be a "picture posting fool." (Go ahead jnette, say it, "well at least you got part of that right".

For comparison I measured the bathroom counter. It's 30". So climbing into my pickup is about the same as climbing into the bathroom sink (but the view is much better from the seat of my truck). :chuckle

I'd better get going. I've got plenty to do at the shop this morning. And this afternoon I need to finish cutting that load of wood with my boy for his future inlaws. (Oh, BTW, I'm writing this in semidarkness because the future DIL is asleep on the couch. She got in late last night. I'm not sure why she didn't sleep in the spare bedroom like she usually does.)

Woohoo! I remembered to check before posting. Hi Joe! And hello again to you, Miss jnette. You don't do well with chaos?? I never would have guessed it.

Bumble butt.......... LOL. (cute picture)

I've been out of bed since 06 - So there!

Well, Good morning and Happy Halloween!

Danny and Daddy just left to go help our daughter move to her new apt. She lives about 2 1/2 hours away. I had Danny wear his "Blame My Sister" shirt. Hopefully they will get back in time for our party at church tonight. It is like an old fashioned kiddy carnival WITH a bounce house.

Danny's costume is Star Wars-related . . . a Clone Trooper and his Dad bought him a fancy blaster to go with it. That kid is spoiled rotten by his Dad.

I am on call - got a call from a family directly about 8 p.m. "Mom is choking" . .. she was still breathing, she choked after drinking water, I had them turn her to her side and slap on the O2 and off I went . . . it took over an hour to get her from coughing. When I left she was surrounded by family - some who drove over an hour to get there - and sipping hot tea.

That darn cat is sitting here on top of our piles of filing . . . eyes closed. I'll have to pick her up so she doesn't disturb the piles . . . and toss her tush outside.

Very cute "bumble butt" jnette.

What to do . . what to do . . . . hmmmm . . . it is gorgeous and sunny again.

Hey there Kolohe and Steph!

Kolohe, quit posting pictures (that's MY deal here yanno) .. sheesh... and get to work !
Glad you're feeling SOME better... backs are hard to heal. I know.. dh has a wicked back, but his is not muscle, but vertebrae...at least muscle will eventually relax and return to normal. Enjoy the wood loading today ! ahh... fresh air, exercise... HEATLHY !!!

Steph.. be nice to that kitty !!! No tossing kitties.

What to do, you say? How about folding some CLOTHES ?
Surely there's a pile SOMEWHERE you can fold and put away?

Enjoy your day to yourself. Hope you don't get called out too much. Oh.. I was curious if Hospice has become your main gig now? I know you'd be a marvelous hospice nurse, joining the ranks of Sabby and Leslie. Hospice nurses have my utmost respect and admiration, truly. *sigh*

I've been playing solitaire on my laptop.. love that game, and I'm dang good at it, too.
Have it on the iPod, too.

Uploaded some photo editing software (imagine that!) :chuckle to my iPod.. been having fun with that, too. Check out the new version of the pic I posted earlier.. here's Hot Rod himself !

I LOVE photo editing... never ending options at creativity.

A good day to stay home and just fiddle and play and relax. Enjoying it immensely.
