Hi Kolohe Di Sabby Herring steph Grace!

Got about 6 hours sleep, only woke up once or twice. Feel fine to start my next shift this evening. Then I'm off until Thurs. So far the nights are working, I'm better able to keep up than on days. I'm hoping orientation will only be another week or two; it's getting time I developed my own routine and start working on my own.

A little nervous about the approaching holidays; I know it can be really slow around Christmas/New Years and you tend to get called off then. Not sure if my time off will be enough to cover the lost shifts. It's a new world for me, I've always worked salary positions before. But I figure I can get extra shifts in the new year, we're usually short on this floor...

Going to take some time to get outside before I hve to get ready for work.

Straggling in late here... sorry ! :imbar

Had things to do ariund the house this morning, then decided to meet dd and Gavin half way between her place and mine at a nice community playground, as the day was absolutely GORGEOUS !!! 72 degrees, blue, clear skies, just perfect to be outdoors. Never know when we might get this again, so I thought we had best take advantage of it!

We had a great time.. Gavin ran and investigated EVERTHING.. swings, slides, scramble bars, you name it. Plenty of grass and benches to sit on... really nice. I'm wore out now.

Well.. guess I need to clean my bathroom as I decided to procrastinate on that to go play today... heh... will try to check back later again.

Grace.. Bavaria is HOME to me ! Mutti had her entire dining room set up in Bavarian style and furniture. All the real thing, too. It's a beautiful place. Glad you found some REAL blackberry wine !!!

OMG is it Sunday night already?? Where, oh where did the weekend go?

I have had a sore tooth and been trying to get in touch with my dentist but no luck. Left side of face is swollen. Taking 800mg of Advil. Hopefully will get up with him tomorrow for some antibiotics and Vicodin ES.....

Will go nuke some mashed potatoes and fix Mama some left-over meatloaf. Will also nuke a Stouffers Spinach Souffle..... Thank the lord for microwave ovens!

May be back later, maybe not.

THE cake is In the oven!

Sabbs .... I didn't have have vegetable oil, so used olive instead! Hope that works ok! She's a cookin' away out there in that kitchen, so dessert toinght should be delicious! Then again .... I just might have to have an afternoon tea as well! Y'know ta try it out and sample it before dessert tonight!

G'day everyone a hot monday here. We're predicted for a heatwave! It certainly is shaping up that way already.

DH's counting the hours now until his departure tomorrow morning for his much anticipated trip. He reminds me of when the kids were preparing to go on a school camp! Got his list and ticking things off as he does them and packs the car. I hope it's everything he anticipates and more. Hope the fish are biting too!

Netters .... I thought of Mutti yesterday when we found the gorgeous Bavarian restaurant/bakehouse. I meant to comment last night on that and how I imagined perhaps her home would look similar..... and today you post that it was! I wish I'd had the camera with me. Oh well, once DH returns from his trip, we'll go for a late breakfast or lunch one day and I'll take some pics. If they permit it of course!
Glad you enjoyed a nice time with DD and Gavin, those are precious times indeed.

Gotta go and check on THE cake!

Owie, BEDPAN!!
So sorry you have that toothache!!
Hope you can contact the dentist first thing in the morning!!

Jnette, sounds like a wonderful day at the park, with great weather!!
Gavin wore ya out!

I did some shopping today and also got the car washed.
Am looking for tall stools (bar stools) for us to sit on when we play for the programs.
Vocalists in the front row have nice chairs, and we want the second and third rows (the Strummers) to sit higher.
Am sleuthing!

Got some lampshades to replace our old ones.
Turns out they won't work, so I need to exchange them.
Bummer.

Time to feed the cats!

Grace.. the place sounds lovely.. I bet their food was heavenly as well ! As does your cake !!! YUM !

Di.. don't you just HATE it when you buy something and then get home with it only to find out it won't work..??

That is SO annoying ! :stone

BP.. ouch! Nothing worse than a bad toothache ! Hope you get that baby looked at SOON, and get some effective pain relief as well! Poor girl !

Kolohe... our house is as old as the hills, and tiny to boot ! Two weensie bedrooms and a bathroom the size of a closet. A very humble abode, but for the 2 of us, it works just fine!

Yes, our Sabby has the palace.

Hi Di ..... How are you? Had another busy weekend?I wish Sabby was online, I need to ask if the cake is meant to be moist! It's been in the oven the required time and when I place the skewer in to test, it still comes out with mixture on it! You made the cake didn't you? Is it supposed to be moist like that?
I don't want to remove it from the oven if it's not!
After all the effort in obtaining the blackberry wine .... I want this cake to be just right!

Yes, I was thinking of pictures of Sabby's house. For some reason I thought your house was similar. Must have inadvertantly "morphed" you two. (LOL. Now THAT is a scary thought).

Sorry about your toothache BP.

Woohoo! It's after 5! I'm going to try some of that Blackberry wine. I'm not too sure about it, though, it was in very close proximity to the Boone's Farm wine bottles. Oh well........ bottoms up.
