Same goes for my mini chef salad I often have at night when I'm on the road. The cheese and sliced hard boiled egg are a major component of the flavor. I don't think I'd be allowed my honey mustard dressing if I were a vegan either (I assume it has some eggs in it).

That being said, I have no doubt that ANY of Tweety's vegan dishes would taste better than anything the DW cooks. She doesn't even own a spice rack; let alone purchase fresh ones. And if I go to put a little salt on something she gives me a hard time. The food is always economical; it's palatable; and it's usually healthy; but it's rarely gourmet. Tweety obviously puts much thought and effort into his cooking. (LOL. This makes me think of that thread about Facebook. If anyone on FB ever "outs" me on AN I'm going to be toast! )

I to sleep.

Good afternoon/evening all!
Steph might have been talking about the comments on my FB page, which can be interesting from time to time. (Are you on FB?)

Oh yes, I think nothing about spending a couple of hours on a meal. Dinner parties take me all day. I love slicing and dicing...I use a blender but otherwise it's slice, mince and dice by hand. I don't miss any of the "flavor" of meat, cheese or eggs because there's endless combinations of herbs, spices, and sauces that one can create. Well, I do miss cheese sometimes because I love pizza. LOL

Hey hey All !!!

Just another day here, nothing new. I just finished putting my new flannel sheets on my bed.. gonna be even chillier again tonight, so it's time !

Gong back to the dentist after work tomorrow to get that front tooth fixed that broke off. :stone Geesh.. always something. But I'll be purty again once it's bonded.. then I can smile and laugh and be my silly self again!

Tweety, your supper looked inviting ! So many colors and textures... just how I like it ! You could have sent me some of those leftovers, yanno! Glad the family enjoyed themselves.

Joe.. hoooray for a pleasant shift last noc !

Kolohe... you're a mess. Brave, too (or should that be "reckless"?)... talking about the wife's cooking like that!

You noticed that too? Good ammo for us to have isn't it. I've quoted him, so he can't edit it. It's forever there for people to see.

Hi all,

Have been ailing with the flu... Not sure if it was Swine or not. Mama said it was the Whine Flu because that's what I did.

Went to doctor yesterday, he had been sick too. I mainly had extreme nausea, aches and pains, fatigue and low grade temp. It started last Thursday when I threw up at the nurses station and DON sent me home.

Of course, now she's acting ugly to me. When I called out today to tell her I will be back tomorrow, she was accusing me of not taking care of myself. :angryfire What is it with making us feel guilty? Will that ever change?? To be honest I am wishing some N&V on her right about now. :chuckle

Joe I am glad you like nights! Much quieter. Even when busy, no honchos around, right?

Tweety, I must be feeling better because that picture of food made me hungry !

Steph, I am keeping my fingers crossed for DH. Let us know......

Sabby..... Your energy makes me tired already!!

Bushambo, I am really enjoying your posts, but trying to remember the conversion for miles to kilometers... and temps!

And hello to Zuzi. Di, Kolohe99 and all others...... Later, alligators...

BP.. wow... I'm sorry to hear you've been so puny ! Blech ! Poor girl, I do hope you chipper up soon, if for no other reason than to please the almighty DON.
Sheeeeeesh.

Seriously, do get well soon. How awful. Ick.

Steph.. did I miss something? Is dh going for an interview somewhere?

Hope you families are holding up.... I know yours is always a welcome face at their door.

Geez.. all this hospice talk... and death and dying... and I'm still hurting.. 4 mos. today... sweet little Mutti... but what can I do? I'm a nurse.. I deal with this stuff everyday and can't get away from it.

Kinda suks sometimes. *sigh*

Greetings Gracie Girl !!!

I do hope this day finds you feeling somewhat lighter. I know it has been a truly difficult week for you. ((((Grace))))

You were such a good friend, and you KNOW she is smiling down on you, even now. Thanking you. And I know you'll continue to be there for her dh... that will help you more than you realize, I think.

Have yourself a good day, my friend.

Hi there Jnette ... thank you dear friend. I'm beginning to lift out of that deeply sad place, life has to keep moving forward for those of us left and Joyce would indeed be strongly encouraging us all to get on with it!

Will be visiting either this afternoon or tomorrow with her DH, and it's important we give him all the support we can.

You take care too my friend and enjoy your evening ( I'm guessing the time up/over here! lol)
