The Warrior Song

by Pierrette Premium Member

"Had it been written 70 years ago, this is the song that General Patton would have sung in the shower."

Is there anyone else who is a bit disturbed by all the glorification (is that a word) of death and killing? Who wrote this song?

I'm afraid that these kids, who are otherwise psychologically normal and then get asked to kill for a living, I'm afraid that messes them up in a major major way. Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but I read this article not too long ago and it brought tears to my eyes.

thank you for this article.

quite frankly, it only served to increase my angst, frustration and defeat.
and i truly despise the "warrior song" now.

these are our kids, first and foremost.
"heroes" shouldn't be expendable.
