THURSDAY 5th November, 2009

by Grace Oz Premium Member

Ok, it's about time I started the GM thread again! Sooo ... C'mon! up and at 'em! Kick off those covers and put ya slippers on and get moving! Do you even wear slippers??!!

Thursday is here and for us Down here ... it's nearing it's end. Well, in about another 6.5 hrs that is!

Wishing everyone a terrific thursday and I hope all your encounters today are pleasant and polite and no hiccups thrown in.

We've enjoyed sunshine today and DH is beginning to feel excited about his much anticipated fishing trip which was delayed due to him having the MI earlier in the year. He leaves on tuesday next week and will be away up to 2.5 weeks. He's travelling all the way across the Nullabour Plain to Esperence in Western Australia. I'm so happy he's finally getting to do something he's wanted to do for a long long time.

And I'm happy that I get to have the house all to myself! :tbsk::smiletea:
Just me and the two pooches to consider! If I want a bowl of cereal for tea, I'll have it! No requirement to cook or anything other than do whatever I want whenever I want!

So, if I'm AWOL next week, it might be because I'm still in bed well into the morning, or out and about with the friend's, or simply lazing about with my head in a book!
Then again, since I'll have the computer all to MYSELF .... I just might spend it surfing the net all day long! lol
Yep, I'm gonna have a holiday at home for sure!

But .... that's NEXT week! Meanwhile .... reality has a hold! lol

ENJOY your thursday folks! :flowersfo

G'day Grace!!! Enjoy your solitude!

In four hours the shuttle will be here to pick me up for the airport and I begin my India trip!!! I'll be MIA for a while as I'm not taking a laptop, but will try to find internet from time to time to say Good Morning!

Guess I better think about packing soon.

Hi Grace! Hi Tweety!

I should be leaving for Wisconsin in about an hour. Just have to pack a few things and put out some more food for the cats, and I should be ready. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. And then I work Sat.

Tweety - we must be twins-separated-at-birth . . . .I wait to pack until the last minute too. Partly because I don't have that many clothes and if they are packed ahead of time, I have nothing to wear except scrubs.

(jnette - don't have a cow).

Good morning everyone! From another sunny day in Northern California. Supposedly the weather is going to change soon to more "Fall-ish" weather . . . rain. But so far, so good.

I going to help the nurse with one patient today (shower) as our home health aide had to go to So. Cal for her aunt's funeral. Then I have the rest of the day to myself.

Grace - your plans for your husband's trip sound like my life during the week when my husband is gone to work . . .

Gotta get ds out the door for school here in a minute - he asked for his omelette with American cheese and sausage today. Ate the whole thing. It sure looked good - but I'm having steel cut oats.

later . . . . steph

Well it's now friday morning here and .. where is everyone???!!

Have safe travels, Tweety! By now you're (hopefully!) packed and on the aeroplane headed to India! Hope the flight is smooth and you have a wonderful holiday!
G'day Steph, Kolohe, Joe (safe travel for you too, Joe),... and whoever drops in here after ... G'day to you too!

Gosh, it's quiet today ... still people do have a life besides posting on the internet! lol

Then again ..... that's a pretty poor excuse for not posting! LOL

Ok, since I also have a life, I'd better get on with it and get this day underway!

Until next time ............. Cheers!

Hi netters .... we woke to hear the dreadful news of the shootings .... dreadful just totally horrible.
Here in Oz recently a terrorist plot to attack one of our military bases was thwarted, thank god.
That this tragedy in Texas was perpetrated by their own from within their own ranks ......

Hi all, Just a quick check-in to say good evening!

Bon voyage to Tweety! Have fun and take lots of pics!

Hi Joe! Glad to hear you won't be away from the cats for too long! Have a relaxing and fun trip....

Usual day at work. Sent out an 87 year old who seemed to be having a relapse of his pneumonia. Temp 101.2 and BP 80/52. Worried about septic shock and how quickly he could deteriorate....

Gonna top off my drink ( ) and nuke some frozen lasagna for supper! One more day till the weekend!

Slides in to say G'day.
Confession time-------- I woke up to the alarm, turned it off and woke up 10 mins later then thought, hmmmm just a few more mins. Woke up 1 1/2 hours later we had plenty of time to get breakfast and organize our day but no time to play on the computer LOL

Got home early and was able to do the house work, floors that hubby usually does but he is working his tail off, so far he has driven over 600 miles and he still has tomorrow to go

Got another new admit today so I will head out to see him tomorrow and check on another that has a chest infection.

Hope you all had a great day.

Grace the shooting is such a tragic event and I wonder if they will ever work out what sent this man off to do such a dreadful thing. Reminds me of the Martin Bryant shooting in Tassie where 35 innocent people lost their lives to this mad man.

Prayers go out to all the families that lost loved ones and the others that are in hospital receiving treatment.
