Wednesday 18th of November

by Sabby_NC Premium Member

Good Morning to you all

Grace I do pray the severe heat wave and extreme threat of fires eases really soon, I worry about you all and this crazy heat way too early on in the season. Know I am thinking of you. Had a chat with my brother and he has a lot of concerns this summer too. He has a good system on his property with fire hoses that can reach all over his 5 acres. Back up water tanks and sprinkler system on his house. He can also use the water from his inground pool.

Cooler this morning so I have the gas logs burning with the central heat just ticked up. I believe we have rain on the forecast today and tomorrow.

Good productive day again yesterday so today I only have one planned visit and do recerts to do. Then I can be on pager and just come home incase my patients need me. I have a couple of follow up phone calls to attend to as well.

Hope you are all doing well and getting organized for Thanksgiving, my most fav time of the year.

Morning Sabby and all those to follow!

The cold and damp has hit New England as well... 29 this morning. brrr i definitely CAN wait till winter!
supposed to rain tomorrow. I think the cold and damp of November is most depressing...so i did a little retail therapy with a good friend last night.
MIL saw the oncologist again ..he's sending her for a PET scan..not sure if her lung mass is CA or TB
planted a ppd....i think i will freak if she reacts since she has been in my house and been exposed to my entire family.

speaking of family...DD had her ultrasound and tech says 80% chance its A GIRL doc told her if tech said 80% he'll say 90! so needless to say i have some fun shopping to do!

Tweety glad you had a restful day off. I miss those days off during the week.
Grace, hope you are safe and sound and away from the fire.
Zuzi, glad you enjoyed the concert.
Hi TammieLee!
well gotta run and get ready for work. its been so crazy there. still havent heard about the other position. Do know that they havent filled it yet..not sure what theyre waiting for.
hope its a great day for everyone!mary

Good -wednesday evening here - I'm on my way to bed. Sneezing like crazy ... darn hayfever! Almost need a nose bag or plug or something! Just call me Princess Running Nose! LOL

Sabbs ... don't go worrying hon, we're fine here, had some cloud cover today so that helped a bit. Temp going to reach 40 41 tomorrow! It's ridiculous!!!! I'm all ready if anything happens, but there's not been any winds, so that's excellent. The folks further up into the hills have been told in no uncertain terms to evacuate if fires break out. We've been blessed here in recent years, local spot fires here and there, but overall we've escaped any nasty outbreaks.
But I have to say ... this bloody heatwave's got to come to an end soon!!!!
That's good your brother is so well prepared, especially if he's on acerage.
Hope you have a good day my friend!

Awww Mary, a sweet little girl on the way, precious! Hope all goes well and a safe delivery. It'd be fun shopping for all the girlie baby clothes and toys etc.

Spoke with DH just awhile ago ... he's caught more fish! So he's happy! I could think of nothing worse! Sitting mindlessly for hours fishing! Still ... each to their own!

Enjoy your wednesday folks!

Good Morning!

Grace, sounds like our "feels like" temperatures when one factors in the dreadful Florida humidity....we have "feels like" over 40 up to 46 days here all summer long, when the actual temperature on the thermometer says 35.

Won't be like that today though. Sunny skies in the low 80's. Going to meet a friend for lunch at the beach. Funny the beach is so close and I go about once or twice a year. Maybe when I retire I'll go more. LOL

Good Morning!

The sun is shining in Texas, after a night of near freezing temperatures. Skies are blue after a windy Tuesday. Heard that it may rain in the next day or two.

Time to mow the lawn!

Best wishes to all.

Good morning to all (welcome centex!)!

Stayed up WAY too late last nite.
I had to wait till after 8pm to leave the house, so I could give the cat his insulin first.
Then had a few things to get at K-Mart,
then met dh at his jam, till 10pm,
then we went to a bar ( ) -- well, actually it says it's a pub.

But it looked and felt like a bar to me, lol!
Ds's group played a set there, and we wanted to hear them.
They were supposed to play at 1030 but didn't get to really playing till 1100.
So we stayed and heard them.
I'm not a big rock fan (classic rock, yes ), but I thought they were pretty good!

So, I got to bed later than usual.
Sometimes it goes like that.

Work today.
Dh had a T'giving party at work yesterday, and brought home a turkey carcass, so tonight I make soup.

Y'all have a good one!

Brought home a turkey carcass? Where'd you get just a turkey carcass? The side of the road? And hanging out in a bar too . . wow Di.

Well good morning from cloudy Northern CA. It rained all night - some snow in the higher elevation mountain passes.

Dh is studying for his test for his new job.

I'm headed out in a bit for our hospice meeting.

I reheated some of last night's dinner (chicken with veggies) and got a nice bulb of garlic . . yum yum. I'll just have to sit far from everyone at the meeting because I'm sure I smell like garlic now.

Happy Wednesday!
