My absolute favorites were the Fisher-Price My Friend Dolls. I had four of them; Mandy (blonde), Jenny (brunette), Becky (redhead), and Mikey (only boy). I absolutely adored those dolls and I remember my mother made me tons of clothes for them.

I also had more than my fair share of Cabbage Patch Kids and Barbies, but I always played with the My Friend dolls the most. My brother and I had a suitcase full of Legos that we played with together and I can remember playing "The Dukes of Hazzard" with our Bigwheels and Hotwheels.

Anyone remember these little mermaid dolls that had sponge lilypads and you played with them in the bathtub? I can't remember what they were called, but I had a few of those as well.

I wrote something here, but because I must have used too many images, my entire post was erased before I got to remove the images. THIS isn't fair. :angryfire

I don't really have any memories of any childhood toys except for a bride doll one of my aunts gave me when I was about nine or ten (I guess). I burned the doll in a trashcan in my backyard. I hated what it stood for since my family life was not a happy one for me then. :stone

When I had my own children, I really got into "buying toys, and stuffed animals, and......." I wanted to make sure my kids enjoyed playing with various toys. I enjoyed their toys as much as they did.

My first boyfriend gave me my very first stuffed animal...a huge teddy bear...when I was 15. I no longer have that particular teddy bear, but I still love stuffed animals, and have quite a few in my possession...and always will. I will buy my own stuffed animal when I see one that is cute enough to bring home.

By far it was my Drowsy doll. She had the cutest face and wore pink polka dot PJ's with a little opening in the back. Actually, I found one on ebay about a year ago and bought it. It was the best $75 dollars I have ever spent. She is an original and in beautiful condition. Does anyone remember her?

MY favorites were my Glitter and gold Jem doll, My shy violet rainbow brite doll ( I loved it because it had glasses like me), barbies , my little ponies and pound puppies.
I never had a Cabbage patch doll, we couldnt afford them. My daughter is getting one as soon as she is old enough not to destroy it

Fischer Price Little People. My brother & I had the house, barn, shopping center, castle, airport, Sesame Street, school bus, school, jet airplane, camper, houseboat...and probably a few others I'm forgetting. We'd set them all up & make a Little People village.

Weebles. I loved those guys. I had the school, house, pirate ship, camper, submarine...and I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the other stuff. Those were so cool. Never did fall down.

When I was about 2 or so I had a little wooden dog that had wheels for legs that I would pull around EVERYWHERE from what my mom tells me. I still have it in a box somewhere.

And of course, Barbies & legos.

All those 80's toys are making a comeback - Strawberry shortcake, my little pony, transformers, ninja turtles, etc etc

I was a pretty spoiled kid, but I loved all those 80s toys too - the above mentioned ones, lite brite, colorforms, smurfs, cabbage patch, my record player and records, legos, oh and I can't forget Voltron!

How could I forget Rainbrow Brite! I remember - I had Rainbrow Brite and my best friend had Patti O'Green (I think that was her name?). I even had a Rainbow Brite record... I don't have any daughters, but I might have to look for her to buy one for myself! LOL

I can't pick a favorite, there were so many! Loved the Slinkey, I had a pogo stick that I played on for hours. Also loved my bike, it was blue, was able to escape the peskey little brother coz he couldn't keep up.
Had lots of dolls, I think Barbie and Raggedy Ann were my favorites. We used to have Monopoly marathons on rainy afternoons.
Great memories!

Remember....

Lite Brights: Put the pegs into the board and watch them light up.

Glow Worm: You would hug it and it would light up.

Etch a sketch: If you would turn both knobs you could make wiggly lines. You would have to shake the etchasketch to erase it.

Those bracelets that you would slap on your arm and they would conform to your wrist.

remember the hopity hop! and the sit and spin? how about hoola hoops
