I had all the standard 80s stuff. Star Brite, Cabbage Patch Kids, Pound puppies, Care Bear, Strawberry Shortcake. OMG did I love Strawberry Shortcake! I had everything SS. My mom even made me a SS cake for my birthday one year. Iced exactly the same way she looked, to a T. Sure makes me long to be a kid again........

My brother had a Stretch Armstrong that I LOVED playing with. He was so fun to strech out and watch him spring back to normal.

We also played with penny racers a lot.......

I played with a hula hoop tons, and I had this lemon thing that you slipped around one ankle and spun it around and hopped over it with your other foot... that could keep me busy for hours on end. Jump ropes too.... especially when you could have two ropes going at once, for the double dutch! And, those old metal rollerskates that you strapped to your tennis shoes!

I'm sure there's tons more that I'm forgetting..... it seems like I had a thing for Strawberry Shortcake and Cabbage Patch Kids.....

and then I had Candyland that was always my favorite - I think I drove my dad nuts playing that one....

You guys make me feel so old........my KIDS played with Strawberry Shortcake, GlowWorms, My Little Pony and so on.......(sigh).

Now, back in the Dark Ages when I was a kid, Barbie and Ken were tops as far as I was concerned. I also loved my pogo stick, marbles (I was the 6th grade champion---I even beat all the boys), tiddlywinks, and Chinese jump rope.

Ah, sweet memories............
