The margin for health care reform in the house was +2 as a result of the 2 brand new congressman elected last week.

When were they sworn in?

Wow, the Dems delayed Roland Burris's seating for weeks, but they apparently saw fit to expedite these Representatives arrival in Washington in order to suit their political purposes.

It's comforting to know that nothing ever changes with the Dems in Washington!

I think there was and is a distinct difference between the cases.

The 2 new members of congress were elected vs Sen. Burris who was selected by an arguably corrupt governor.

(Sen. Franken's seating was delayed while the election contest played out in state court.)

It was a legal and valid (if unpopular) appointment. The Dems had no legitimate basis for delaying Burris' seating, and would not have done so but for their own political benefit.

Franken was properly seated when the legal challenge was completed.
