Hi, I wanted to drop you a line as I live near Rochester. I am attending Geneva General Hospital's RN program after 15 years as a probation officer. I have a BA in Psychology from Oswego and am looking forward to a career change. I am leaning towards working with psyc, addictions, or prison nursing, as this is where my experience is. I enjoy your posts!

Hello, I used to live in ROC and am debating moving back and getting my CNA cert there. What is the starting pay at Strong/RGH for CNA's? I wanted to also go to the IGH LPN school at RGH once I settle into my CNA job. How much do LPN's make there?

I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your posts, you seem to be very rational and level headed and supportive etc. etc. I don't think I have ever seen a post of yours I didn't agree with. I wish more people thought like you

    Hi,
My name is Pam, I am in my last semester of school, and the whole class is struggling with Psy questions. Our book is Foundations of Psy Mental Health by Varcarolis. Do you know where I could locate some Psy NCLEX style questions? The application and analysis would be best...WHOLE class is failing.
You can email me at Thanks SO VERY MUCH!

Thanks psychRN. I actually did my BA is psych. Thank you for responding. I guess I would also like to know if you stayed on or off campus. I acutally saw your post in the dc forum. I know they say now it's impossible to work while in the program, but did some students work while in the program? Also do you take classes in the summer?

You are my hero! Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I have never smoked pot or done drugs. However, I choose to live a professional life and professional life and drugs don't mix. Nor do I want to bring problems to my marriage and beautiful 17 month old son. You can't always have your cake and eat it too...KWIM?

Hello, I was looking thru the forum and came across a post that you wrote. I see that you went to Univeristy of Rochester for your BSN. I'm currently looking for 2nd degree accelerated programs and rochester is on my list. I wanted to know your experince here? How was your overall experience? Where the class sizes like lecture size (75+) or more small and personal? Any information you can give me would be very helpful. Thank you so much in advance!! Hope to hear from you soon,
