When it comes to O' Rourke, it is difficult to nail down a favorite for me. I've just conceded that I am a part of the masses who continue to make O'Rourke the most "quoted" person on the internet!

hi roy- i am a bit embarrassed to admit this on a public post but tonight while trying to make the most my insomnia i was doing some googling on nursing and anarchy (as i am want to do every so often) and stumbled onto your post of 2007. It may be a bit late in the game to say this but i really appreciated what you had to say and it made me feel a bit less alone in my views, which are not much shared in the FNP program i am in. i get some funny looks when i quote emma goldman and lavinia dock here at Vandy...go figure but they did have paul farmer speak here last week, so they can't be all bad.

Since I'm rather new here, I just wished to clarify something about my earlier visitor message that might be misconstrued. I don't want to appear to be violating TOS by promoting a personal website, blog, web business, etc. I am not connected in any promotional, business or financial way. Thanks so much for your reply on my thread- what do you want from your hospital?. You have a great way of expressing yourself. Every time I read the boards, it's amazing to me how passionate we all are. And it seems that no matter how varying the opinions, we all care about one thing: the patients. I read your posts in the foreign nurses "insourcing" thread, and I was impressed with your thoughtful rebuttals to the statements and claims made. I'm mostly a lurker here; I spend a lot more screen time in the message board community of message.snopes.com. I think you might find some like-minded folks there...skeptical, curious and polite. Keep debunking, and all the best!

Hey Roy, your posts make me think. I may reply with something that seems confrontational, but please know I enjoy debate and love reading other peoples thoughts on issues. In other words, I'm not bent on an issue and unrelenting. I sometimes push it (politely I hope), but in the spirit of advancing thought (and sometimes making people defend it). In any case, I'm not as nutzoid as a first impression may indicate. It's all good.
