Well, that wasn't where I was going with it...I was thinking more for "PR" purposes!

I was thinking that it would give them an easy target to blame stuff on after they started having issues that they couldn't reflexively blame on Bush, especially since Berger was the rare Clinton staffer who failed to get a job this time around. They could simply say, "I don't know what happened to those essential and sensitive security documents...Oh, the dog must've ate them!"

But from what I hear, a PWD can barely be controlled with tranquilizers and a shock collar!

Kind of cute, though...I'm more of a 'bigger working class dog' sort of person.

I know you weren't. I tend to be a smartxxx sometimes and I live in a staunchly REPUBLICAN (not republican) rural area and that's what I was reacting to.

Untreated distichiasis can cause corneal ulcers, chronic eye and eyelid pain, and excessive tearing. It is quite uncomfortable and/or painful for the animal, depending on the amount irritation. If the excessive hair causes any clinical signs at all, the hair should be permanently removed.
Signs include increased blinking, lots of extra tears that often look like a tear streak, and squinting. Dogs don’t typically paw at the eye. The more severe cases are the most easily diagnosed, as the milder cases often involve small softer hairs that can easily be missed.

My parents had a cocker spaniel that had this. I'm sure "Bo" will have the very best in doggy medicine at his disposal.

My sis-in-law and her dh have a cocker spaniel puppy that looks just like this! And boy is he a messy dog with all that hair! Living on a ranch when he is free to roam in mud puddles and then walk up and shake on you is not such a great idea. Their kids gave them the dog when their last dog died of cancer.

I'm beginning to really like smaller lap dogs - which I used to really dislike. I've always been a big working kind of dog lover too. Labs especially. Oh, we had a Springer Spaniel named Belle - she was pretty hyper though. Of course, our mini-doxie's are not the yappy/hyper type that irritate me. And they don't make messes, except for housetraining and that is different from the large mess our lab or our son's boxer leave. And they mostly sit in your lap. Although I was surprised that they also keep up with me when I jog!

Kids should have a dog or cat or some kind of pet -

Hey, your doggie looks just like my girl, Gina. Partial to the GSD, myself.

ETA: OOPs, just noticed that right scroll and it was a stock photo----never mind

Hey, my dog DID eat my OCPs once. Incredibly embarrassing to call my OB/Gyn's office and say, "I swear I am not making this up, but....."

Yeah. She really did. She was still a puppy and apparently they were in a place where she could get to them (I thought they were safely out of reach, guess not). Funny - they were all neatly popped out of their package and all.

Happened here too. I take Keppra and Neurontin for seizure control but have my Neurontin dispensed in 100 mg. capsules instead of 300 mg. because that allows me to adjust my dosage prn (with my neuro's OK.) One night when Mannie was a pup, he chomped down on a bottle and ate one Neurontin. We called our vet who said that dosage wouldn't hurt an almost grown muscular puppy but might make him and would make him sleepy. Phew! He then said the 300 mg might well have been fatal. Our pharmacist heard what had happened and occasionally dispenses a Rx as mine is filled. This is a very small very rural area and news travels fast.

That's actually not my dog, but it looks exactly like one of two dogs I had growing up. The other was a lab/golden mix.
