Please, tell me where he has succeeded with any domestic agenda policy.
I do believe he succeeded in apologizing to the rest of the world for the "bad behavior" of the United States. At the same time, he alienated our old allies.
When I say "God Help Us".....I really mean it with Obama in charge. At least with Bush in charge I could feel safe at night when I slept. Not a huge Bush fan for the record.
You actually listen to campaign promises??? j/k
I'm not going to waste too much effort defending him, because frankly I'm a disappointed myself. If you're looking for one area of domestic policy that's a success look at hate crimes. His successes have been in smaller arenas. Also, it's very well documented that stimulus money has created and saved jobs here in FL....(yes, I'm aware of the unemployment rate).
Granted now huge policies have been initiated and successful but that's because of opposition.
The economy is bouncing back and hopefully the devastating unemployment rate will slowly rise. I'll take what good news I can get on that front. Personally, my 401K is recovered from the final Bush year and while I'm still very very concerned I'll be in poverty when I retire, I feel better. There's a glimmer of hope on the unemployment line too:

I don't think he's alienated our old allies. Those relationships have always been love-hate, especially with countries like France and Germany, but at the end of the day they are rock solid. I like how he acknowledges that America isn't the almighty anymore...something many die-hard Americans are having trouble accepting. I like how he's seeking relationships with India this week, because India is going to be very very important to us in the years to come as they become a major economic power in the world. Things are shifting globably and I like his vision. Domestically........as I said, the verdict is out. I'm rarely happy with whatever President is in office because our problems are immense. But I do still feel safe at night.
I can honestly say that I don't feel any worse about things that I did a year ago, not too much better, but definitely not as bad as I felt a year ago this time. Prior to his election it wasn't all pretty.
