I didn't even read the article after seeing the RIDICULOUS picture and the word "teabaggers"....

PLEASE give it a rest. This is a highly biased opinion piece, obviously. If she did indeed "attack" (Poor Obama!) him......I say good for her.

Oh, for the love of Pete, Palin did not attack Obama.

Who is this author anyway? Apparently someone who lacks the insight and maturity to distinguish between legitimate political discourse and vicious attack. He sounds more like a Kindergartener running to tattle to the teacher than a seasoned political journalist. Palin did all of America a huge favor by clearly delineating how her philosophy differs from Obama's. Based upon that information, virtually everyone will form an opinion of her fitness for office. Unlike most politicians, she is hiding nothing.

Palin did not make fun of Obama's race, physical appearance, personal life, wife or family, any of which would have constituted a true attack.

She highlighted the huge differences in ideology between the two politicians.

GASP! For that she is accused of an attack? Grow up!

Whether it is accurate or not? Weren't we discussing intellectual honesty earlier?

your/this response is about as subjective as the author's...
they are only opinions.
what he considers an attack, obviously you do not.
that's not to say either is right or wrong.
but from where i sit, palin has belittled obama from day 1.
her remarks are consistently biting and sarcastic.

palin is not a victim.
she is a product of her deliberate exposure to the public and media.
who gets to define what is "accurate"?
unless she has been blatantly misquoted, i would have to say that all opinions would be applicable.

Tit for tat question aside, my response would be no it's not the same. The press, or whomever "everyone" is to you, belitting her doesn't make it right for her to belittle the President. That would be childish of her to think "people are belitting me, so I'll belittle the President".

However, I see nothing wrong with her belittling the President.

When I read the post title "Pallin Attacks Obama", my response was "so what...she's his potential opponent, I would expect her too. It politics afterall".

Let her attack away. Why would that be newsworthy?

Off topic. I'm not telling anyone what they should be offended by but I think the phrase "teabagger" is becoming so commonly associated with this group that people don't realize they are being offensive and people should relax about it, especially considering they embraced it themselves.

THAT is the first thing I thought - could they PLEASE stop it!!

As to "attack" . . .I disagree. She is, as Jolie mentioned, merely delinating the differences.

And as Tweety said - politics has been this way since the beginning of time.

I wonder what our local paper will have to say after Sarah's speeches today in our local convention center at the logging conference.

Truthfully, I would welcome the tough criticism/attack/whatever ya wanna call it if it were to contain information based on reality rather than well-worn, non-specific(and mostly demonstrably inaccurate--doesn't use the word War--anyone??) dogmatic party blech.....

And, NO, not everything is a matter of perspective depending on your POV.

Sometimes there really are, whattayacallum, oh yeah, verifiable facts.
