President Obama nailed this one with his quote.

That being said, I find it weird that the President chooses to pick on a citizen by name. Like kindergarten.
JMHO
I used to listen to Limbaugh's show, back before he was outed as a junkie. I stopped because he stopped presenting anything resembling a reasoned argument ... he seemed to be having too much fun spouting snark with his loyal dittoheads. Any idiot can make fun of anything ... doesn't prove a thing ... and listening to that is a waste of my time and energy.
Hopefully, since he got sober, he got his mind back and is actually talking about issues. If so, worth listening to even if you don't agree with him. Personally, been there, done that, burned the t-shirt. There are more articulate spokespeople for conservatives who don't necessarily have the additional agenda of boosting their ratings.
It can't hurt to examine our assumptions, no matter where you stand on the issues.

Re: "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done"
Let's not get into "but he hit me FIRST!". THAT'S kindergarten behavior. President Obama is not 'picking on' Rush Limbaugh. He is a public figure, and as such, needs to learn to take some of what he dishes out. Rush has made millions upon millions of dollars---not to mention a name for himself---by 'picking on' liberals, Democrats, women, feminists, gays, Hispanics, junkies (a case of the pot calling the kettle black if I ever saw one), blacks, foreign leaders, Hollywood, pro-choicers, anti-war activists, welfare recipients, environmentalists, non-Christians, and just about everybody else on earth who doesn't toe his narrow line of acceptability.
You can sugar-coat a pile of poo, paint it pretty colors, give it an alluring scent, and call it candy.........but it's still a pile of poo. I don't care how many times people claim "oh, it's all just sound bites" or "Rush's remarks are being taken out of context" or "You have to understand all of what he said to make it make sense". Phooey. Crap is crap, and no one has to listen to a whole hour's worth of it to know that Rush is just plain mean.
Big secret about to be revealed here: It's OK. We knew that already. Rush's fans would do well to just admit it and stop trying to explain him to us non-fans. It's a free country, and Rush can say whatever he likes. So can the President. I think we all need to lighten up.

my mother always told me "you can't polish a turd". rush is just a mean old man.
you can try and justify his statements until your face turns blue. he's either a) full of hate or b) makes so much money by stirring up hate he pretends to be so. either way, he's venom.
