Re: Skechers Shape-up Shoes
Hey, it's only been two weeks, and unfortunately I tend to eat more when I start an exercise regime, so a bad habit of mine. They also say muscle mass weighs more than flab.
I'll keep you posted on progress but I'm pretty pleased with the results so far. I just wondered if there was someone out there that had used them for a few months or something. I'm not really into fad things and the shoes were expensive - couldn't find them anywhere here for less than $100.
Butt is lifted and my thighs no longer meet in the middle. | | No. 5 |

Re: Skechers Shape-up Shoes
I have a pair, have had them about 2 months, and I have lost 20 pounds! My legs and my abs are looking more toned, and at the risk of giving TMI, my heinie doesn't sag near as much as it used to!
For me, they are well worth the investment. But be warned, there's a little bit of a learning curve in walking with them, especially stairs. I nearly killed myself the first day.
Also, work into them gradually, wear them for a few hours, then switch. I wore mine 9 hours straight at work the first day, and had charley horses in both legs by lunch. At least I knew they were working. Lots of staff where I work have gone to these, and we all are pleased.

Wow AngelfireRN!!!!!! Okay, so did you diet and exercise as well? Any lifestyle changes-low fat/low carbs, etc. Do you do a lot of walking on the job?
I would love to lose 20 lbs if it's as easy as wearing these shoes. | | No. 8 |

Re: Skechers Shape-up Shoes
I walk a ton, yes, and I try and watch what I eat. My downfall is cheese. I do exercise, but DO NOT exercise in the shoes, you'll be sorry. You won't walk the next day.
My doc had tried me on Phen-pro, a combo of phentermine/Prozac (replaced Phen-fen) but the side effects were awful. I did lose some weight before we had to rethink the pills, but I have lost more and more importantly, I'm KEEPING it off!

Unfortunately, I don't walk much at work. I can't exercise at home b/c I live above a neighbor that swears she hears every bump we make! I am trying to watch what I eat, though. I had thought about using Alli but not too sure about side effects, long term effects, etc. | | 444 members
