You are right Tweety - this is a good example of one law for all and I think that other medical officers will think twice about the casual attitude some employ of "the rules don't apply to me." I think if it had been fraud (like one of our neurosurgeons) or medical supplies we would be more understanding of the initial event.

Nah, a surgeon would never do that.
or maybe he was eating the croutons in question during surgery or maybe they were just very very special croutons....or maybe he already had croutons coming out of his ying yang.....you never know with those neuro-surg docs....

I understand the no tolerance policies, but what about these poor patients and families? It's concerning.

Agree with Tweety's sentiments but a suspension over CRoUTON'S ?????....
unless this was a way of finally letting go a troubled employee.
Think the Doc will make out royally in the end with a lawsuit.

Apparently the British crouton is quite a bit more exciting than US Croutons.... but just in case, I moved my box of croutons to a safer location in the pantry...... take the silver, but spare the crouton! :chuckle
