I know . . . . my point is, free speech can offend us all.

And no one philosophy is free from ugliness.

There was a thread recently about the wacko group that protests military funerals, questioning whether they are abusing their children by exposing them to the hate they epouse.

Frankly, putting a baby or child in clothing like this is no different.

True. Just not sure in this instance a "balanced counter-point" was necessary, because I know the guy in the op doesn't represent. I'll never say a bad word about my friend Steph and threads go the way they go, I'm o.k. with that.

I think comparing the shirt to the deeds of the WBC is silly. WBC are indoctrinating their children with hate and religious BS.

However, I must say, that the shirt is a cheap way to make a political point.

we americans, tend to abuse our rights, pushing them to the very limit.
and while i love my country for allowing me/us to do so, i really wish 'we' would recognize a good thing when we see it...
and utilize these 'rights' as if they were privileges.

I don't think I was going for the balanced counter-point . . . . this has been a weird day for threads and I happened to be on cafepress . . . and it just went from there.

Thanks Tweety.
