An interesting piece from the WSJ here

I'm not going to buy Going Rogue (surprise!) but do plan on checking it out of the library. In this neck of the woods I expect to be on a long wait list.

As they say in the business world, bad press is better than no press at all.

How do you do that? Type "here" and have a link there?

I have a good friend who worked for the WSJ for years and at our last reunion I teased him about how many conservatives work there and he laughed and said something to the effect of "Oh we have some libs hanging out too".

Thomas Frank wrote that book "What's the Matter With Kansas?" that showed me he really didn't understand his subject . . that's the book Viking links to all the time.

I have some qualms about Sarah - I probably won't buy the book just because I don't usually buy those kinds of books but get the at the library like Elvish or borrow them.

I did listen to her on Rush yesterday and thought she sounded very articulate.

18 biggest falsehoods in her book. (FWIW you can get it for essentially nothing...Walmart (according to countdown) has it for 20 dollars off) There is a phenomenon in conservative publishing houses where warehouses of books are bought by foundations. Artificially drives sales up and puts the book on a best seller list. These books are then "dumped" as donations.

I won't waste my time reading it....

Default The Media's Persecution of Sarah Palin

This week's tasteless Newsweek cover in which Palin is portrayed as a sex object is just another reminder of how the mainstream media (especially NBC affiliates) have relentlessly tried to devalue, satirize, and denigrate Sarah Palin.

Persecution of Palin

A new book documents the elite media's preoccupation with denigrating former Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Weekly Standard associate editor Matthew Continetti has written a new book that details the quantity and intensity of misinformation that was hurled at Sarah Palin by the mainstream media since she stepped onto the national stage in August 2008.

The book is called The Persecution of Sarah Palin: How the Elite Media Tried to Bring Down a Rising Star. Continetti says Sarah Palin represents most of what the left dislikes about the U.S. and wants to change....
