OR nurses

Hi guys, I am nursing student from Twin Falls, my last year of nursing, and I would like your opinion of new graduate nurses in OR. Do you think we go through enough training to be put in OR right after graduation. Thanx for your time. MJ

Default I graduated last May.
No, school didn't prepare me in any way to immediately function in an OR setting. The hospitals know this. That's why they gave me 9 months of training before I could work on my own.

Don't worry. If this is what you want....go for it!!! Many hospitals have new grad programs in the OR. It just takes a lot more training before you can be on your own...but you will learn so much.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you guys for your time. I would love to work in Surgery but our hospital does not hire new grads which is sad.
